James Kent "Chinese Rose" Earrings

These uniquely fabulous vintage china antiqued silver earrings were created from a gorgeous James Kent "Chinese Rose" pattern dinner plate. The pattern features a detailed design of pink, blue & yellow flowers with colorful birds on branches with a scalloped, slightly upturned edge with a green trim. “Chinese Rose” was produced by James Kent at the Old Foley Pottery in Staffordshire, England from 1940-1959.
This particular earring design was chosen, cut out with ceramic tile nippers, smoothed out to size & shape with my handy dandy grinder, then (white) grout is added to the edges to seal & further protect the vintage porcelain pieces.
I have lovingly placed the porcelain piece into a fantastic antiqued silver plated brass round earring bezels that measure just over 1/2" in diameter & the earring part is hinged earwire.
*Each JBD piece comes with a 'Story Card' that tells a little about the Vintage China Pattern that was used in the piece purchased! :)
