This beautiful vintage china antiqued copper adjustable ring has been created from a fabulous antique "Birds & Roses" by Carrollton China dinner plate. Carrollton Pottery Co. was an American ceramics manufacturer that operated from approximately 1903 until it officially closed in 1946. This pattern design features a cream base with a delicate border of pink roses, blue forget-me-nots & small yellow flowers. The most distinguishing feature of this specific pattern is the inclusion of small robins or "birds of paradise" perched among the floral sprays. This pattern was manufactured in the late 1920s through the 1930s. I stumbled upon this plate in a local thrift store & immediately fell in love with those gorgeous birds ~ I only wish they had more than one! For this ring, I captured one of those happy birds for you to enjoy! :)
The design for this fantastic ring was chosen & cut out with ceramic tile nippers, smoothed out to size & shape with my handy dandy grinder, then (white) grout is added to the edges to seal & further protect the vintage china pendant.
I have lovingly placed the porcelain piece into a square shaped hammered antiqued copper adjustable ring bezel. The setting measures 3/4" square & it is adjustable to fit most any finger you might like to adorn with it!
