This beautiful vintage china antiqued silver adjustable ring was created from a gorgeous saucer in the pattern, 'MIB2' by Mitsu-Boshi. This stunning pattern features a hand-painted blue & yellow bird in a cherry blossom branch with raised enamel details (known as moriage) with gold accents & trim ~ all displayed beautifully on an indigo blue background. The manufacturer, Mitsu-Boshi, which means 'Three Stars', produced porcelain ware for export from the early-to-mid 20th century (e.g., 1930s-1940s). The best neighbor on the planet gifted me with this cup & saucer ~ I am so happy with how these turned out ~ I will definitely be on the lookout for more!
This particular ring design was chosen from the saucer, cut out with ceramic tile nippers, smoothed out to size & shape with my handy dandy grinder, then (white) grout is added to the edges to seal & further protect the vintage porcelain piece.
The rectangle setting/bezel is antique silver plated brass & measures a little under 1" long x just under 3/4" wide and it is adjustable to fit most any finger you might like to adorn with it!
*Each JBD piece comes with a 'Story Card' that tells a little about the Vintage China Pattern that was used in the piece purchased! :)
