Alabama Collector Plate Blue & Gold Floral Pendant Necklace

This fabulous blue with gold embossed flowers vintage china pendant necklace was created from an Alabama The Cotton State 8" Collectors Plate in the late 20th Century (1970-1999). I purchased this plate specifically for a custom order that required a particular bird, but I fell in love with rim! The beautiful blue background with the gorgeous golden flowers just made my heart happy & I hope it makes yours happy, too! :)
Because of the encrusted gold accents, I have lovingly placed the porcelain into a gold filled setting that measures 2 1/8" long, 3/8" wide.
The design within the collector's plate was chosen for this pendant with care, cut out with ceramic tile nippers, then smoothed out to size & shape with my handy dandy grinder, then (white) grout was added to the edges to seal & protect the vintage porcelain pendant.
The necklace I am providing to wear this beautiful pendant is a 16" Blue (glass) Seed Bead necklace with lobster claw clasp + 3" extender chain.
*Conversely, you could hang it from most any chain necklace you have in your jewelry box. As much as I would like to offer it in 14k gold, I feared it would make this piece price prohibitive for some buyers.
**Each JBD piece comes with a 'Story Card' that tells a little about the Vintage China Pattern that was used in the piece purchased! :)
